Invisible dragon over London

The dragon had been flying many days, seeking out new adventures. He felt a sudden urge to visit Ryn, unexpected and strong...

He hovered over the roof of the house near a mountain, by a river, near a city, and called to the boy. "Ryn...." Magically a light from the sleeping babe rose, floated up and out of the house, and settled on the dragon's neck. "I will fly you to a place where I have many memories, young child..."

They flew fast, very fast through the night. The earth turns more slowly than a dragon can fly around the earth, so they arrived over London in a short time, and in daytime. The city gleamed in the sunshine, the Tower Bridge and Westminster Palace and St Paul's as glorious now as the day they were built.

The dragon had many memories here, and he shared them with Ryn. "I flew here when I first came into this world, along the Thames and down to Greenwich." The dragon enjoyed the memories flooding back to him of his earlier days. A great sense of peace came over him, and he lingered over places that had the best memories for him. Ryn felt very loved by the enormous invisible beast.

After many hours the dragon realized he must return Ryn to his parents. He flew very fast, and arrived just after sunrise. "Quickly little man... Return..." The light from Ryn's soul floated down into the house.

Another light appeared at the dragon's shoulder, and a sound like a piano melody drifted to him. "Was that a good journey, my dragon friend?" Jena listened attentively for the dragon's reply, which took several moments to come.

"I felt so comfortable. I hardly spoke to him. I showed him the places I have loved. The time passed so quickly..." The dragon felt new emotions, unfamiliar, but sweet.
"That is exactly what is supposed to happen, good dragon, when you care for a child."
Jena's voice tinkled, glistening like the morning sunlight.
